Rural Riley County Community Foundation Scholarship Application

The Rural Riley County Community Foundation Scholarship Application is used for numerous local scholarships.  Applicants should complete the required information found at the bottom of the application first.  Once that is completed, applicants will complete the cover page and upload the required information.  Scholarship applications are due April 15.  

Scholarship recipients will be notified at the Riley County High School Award Ceremony.  Once a schedule is obtained, students will upload the schedule and complete the required information.

Rural Riley County Community Foundation Scholarship – $1,000

The Rural Riley County Community Foundation awards a $1,000 scholarship to graduating high school seniors who demonstrate a commitment to their community, leadership, and academic achievement. This scholarship supports students from Riley County High School as they pursue higher education at a college, university, or technical school. The Foundation seeks to invest in students who show promise, strong character, and a desire to positively impact their communities.

Rural Riley County Community Foundation Continuing Education Scholarship – $1,000

The Rural Riley County Community Foundation offers a $1,000 scholarship to support community members or high school seniors pursuing higher education, workforce training, or professional certifications. This opportunity is open to individuals seeking to advance their skills through college coursework, technical programs, or certifications such as CNA. The scholarship is designed to help rural Riley County residents strengthen their careers, contribute to the local workforce, and continue growing through education and training.

Gary Hanna Memorial Scholarship – $1,000

The Gary Hanna Memorial Scholarship awards a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior who demonstrates strong character, dedication, and a commitment to their education and community. Established in memory of Gary Hanna, this scholarship honors his legacy by supporting students as they pursue higher education at a college, university, or technical school. The award recognizes students who show perseverance, a strong work ethic, and a desire to make a positive impact in their future endeavors.

Economy Electric Trade School Scholarship – $1,000

Steve Reed and Rodney Dugan of Economy Electric, both graduates of Riley County High School’s Class of 1993, are offering a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior who plans to further their education at a trade or technical school. This scholarship is intended to support students interested in pursuing careers in skilled trades and hands-on professions. Economy Electric is proud to invest in the next generation of skilled workers who show dedication, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to building their future through technical education.
