Match Day History

The Rural Riley County Community Foundation was formed in August of 2023 and our 9-person board made it a mission to have a Match Day in our first year. Our inaugural Rural Riley County Match Day took place August 29 - 30, 2024. Since we are a small community foundation in Riley County, we are required to raise our own Matching Funds. We reach out to businesses and individuals in our area to ask for their help in making this event happen. Through the generosity of many, we have been able to provide Matching Funds to all of the funds in the foundation and have had great success and growth in the first two years.
