Light Up 66449 is dedicated to bringing holiday magic and community pride to Leonardville by creating a bright, festive atmosphere each Christmas season. In its third year, the group has transformed the downtown area and city park with 25 beautiful new lighted displays funded by generous donations, memorials, and community fundraisers.
Founded in 2022, Light Up 66449 is a volunteer-led effort to replace and expand Leonardville’s holiday decorations, making our town a destination where everyone can feel the warmth and wonder of the season. The annual lighting ceremony, Holiday Hullabaloo, features a lighted parade, Santa’s arrival, a community meal, and the cherished moment when two young artists from the holiday drawing contest flip the switch to illuminate the town. Through events like Casino Night and Christmas in July, Light Up 66449 raises funds that support these displays and bring neighbors together to celebrate and invest in the joy of community. Your support ensures that Leonardville continues to shine brightly for years to come.
