The RRCCF Spotlight: Building a Stronger Community Together

Welcome to our new monthly series, the “RRCCF Spotlight”. Each month, we will share updates, celebrate milestones, provide assistance to those wanting to create a new fund, and highlight the people who make our work possible.

The Rural Riley County Community Foundation (RRCCF), an affiliate of the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation, is dedicated to "advancing and strengthening communities in rural Riley County by being a bridge between donors and charitable causes." RRCCF proudly serves the towns of Keats, Leonardville, and Riley.

We are proud to recognize the Inaugural Board Members who launched this mission: Jenny Anderes, Harold Oliver, Donnie Wilson, Jeff Bulk, Lori Rogge, Kim Bailey, Ian Peters, Bryce Mongeau, and Josh Reasoner. We also honor our Inaugural Ambassadors: Donna Sullivan, Chandra Ruthstrom, Darci Pottroff, Jared Hopper, Mel Nudson, and Mary Cay Shaffer.

As we grow, we extend our deepest gratitude to departing board members Harold Oliver, Donnie Wilson, and Jeff Bulk, and ambassadors Mel Nudson and Mary Cay Shaffer. Your dedication has laid a vital foundation for years to come. We also share a sincere note of remembrance for Mel Nudson, who will be greatly missed by our communities.

We are thrilled to welcome our new leadership team. Joining the board are Jill Reynard, Chandra Ruthstrom, and Jared Hopper. Our newest ambassadors include Charla Henry, Miah Howe, Stacy Wurtz, Jeff Bulk, Harold Oliver, and Donnie Wilson. Together, we remain committed to the people and places that make rural Riley County home.

Are you interested in starting a new fund to support a local cause? The RRCCF manages the administrative tasks and investment growth and the fund gifts continue to give back to rural Riley County for generations. It’s a simple way to create a lasting legacy.

The deadline to establish a fund before our Match Day in August is approaching quickly. Please contact us before June 1st to begin the process. To learn more, visit ruralrileycountycf.org. Stay tuned for upcoming RRCCF Spotlights!
